Process and Policy
For over 12 years I have been designing process and providing advise to those interested in designing policy through a multi-stakeholder consensus building process. I have extensive experience working with all levels of government, various industries, NGOs, and land owners.
My previous experience includes working as a Senior Project Manager at the Clean Air Strategic Alliance (from 2002 - 2007), course work through the ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Alberta, and working as an independent policy contractor.
I was commissioned by the Alberta Capital Airshed to provide a review of all current legislation, from the Canadian Environmental Protection Act to local Municipal Development Plans, that addressed air emissions reduction efforts already in progress. The goal of this project was to an assessment current policies influence on reducing ozone levels in Alberta. Please email me for a copy of the report.
Albert SRD's Reclamation Criteria Advisory Group was created to define criteria for the reclamation of Cultivated Lands, Forested Lands, Grasslands & Peatlands through a multi-stakeholder consensus based process. In addition I organized and facilitated a reclamation criteria workshop that was seeking policy advise from a broad cross section of affected stakeholders. The criteria that we defined are the basis for this report [PDF]: 2010 Reclamation Criteria for Wellsites and Associated Facilities for Cultivated Lands
I was hired by Alberta Environment to facilitate a multi-stakeholder policy process with the goal of advising the Minister of Environment on regional (within the Industrial Heartland) emission limits for Oxides of Nitrogen and Sulphur Dioxide.
